CNC 5 Axis Milling
Astro operates a number of 5 axis CNC milling machines, vertical and horizontal milling, as well as thread milling. We operate advanced machines with spindle speeds of up to 30,000 rpm.
As a compliment to our Chiron, Williman, and Haas 5 axis mills, Astro also operates the Mazak Integrex 5 axis mill/turn machine. The Integrex affords both rigidity and 5 axis versatility for the manufacturing of tight tolerance components with multiple attributes. |

EDM Machining
Astro operates Charmilles 4 axis wire EDM machines. Capable of running .004 diameter wire. The Charmilles produce a very clean cut and are excellent with implant grade titanium. |
